Construct the experiment before testing the unknown sample.
100%Select the root socket, then choose a test.
How this puzzle works
You are not guessing which substance is on the cloth. You are designing a laboratory procedure that would correctly identify any candidate in the case.
Click an empty socket. Its candidate pills show what remains possible on that branch.
Inspect the test tray. Each card describes an available examination; choose from the case evidence rather than following a recommendation.
Drag a useful test onto the socket, or click the test card. The graph generates every possible outcome automatically.
A branch turns green when one substance remains. Continue on every unresolved branch.
When all branches are green, run the sealed unknown. Its real results travel through the procedure you designed.
Good test: separates the current candidates into several small groups. Poor test: leaves nearly all candidates together. You may use the same test on different branches, but not twice along one sample's path.
